Zinedine Zidane has claimed that he has “no doubt” that Sergio Ramos will sign a new contract after scoring the 100th Real Madrid goal.
The Spaniard scored a century of goals for Los Blancos during a 3-2 Champions League win over Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Ramos has less than a year left on his contract and could be available on a non-transfer fee transfer next summer.
But Zidane, who has won his first European win of the season, believes the 34-year-old is unlikely to leave the Bernabeu.
“As always, he’s our captain, he’s our leader,” Real Madrid boss said following the game.
“We want him here forever, he’s doing it, he’s showing that he always wants to. I have no doubt it will and it will continue to make history. ”
Ramos set a milestone during the first half display that saw Real take a 2-0 lead over their Group B rivals.
After picking up just one point from their opening game pair, Zidane’s men were under pressure to bring a positive result.
Goals from Karim Benzema and Ramos only put the hosts in commanding position after a strike by Luttaro Martinez and Evan Perisic.
However, with ten minutes left, Redrigo netted the winner, putting the La Liga champion in this year’s competition.

After Real’s win at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium in Real’s temporary home and training ground, Ramos said the result was more important than his personal achievements.
“Personal records are secondary, but you choose to hit them and as long as they keep helping the side win, hopefully I can get a little more.
Ramos added: “It was a tough game, but we got a good result in the end and secured three very important points.
“We know it’s a do-die game and you need to move on when you’re drawn back in the match you’re winning. We’ll get rid of them a little bit and you can’t do that in the Champions League. “
