Zack Snyder has insisted that he would incinerate his long-awaited League of Justice Cut before using any of Joss Whedon’s images.
Official confirmation of the ‘Snyder Cut’ came in May, with constant speculation about the details since then. But it seems like the scenes that appeared in the Whedon release are firmly off the table.
“It would destroy the film,” the director told the Justice-Con panel, organized by fans, when asked about its use. “I would set it on fire before using a single frame that I didn’t photograph. I would literally blow that damn thing. “
Despite using only his own shots, earlier this week (July 21) Snyder said his version of League of Justice It could last almost four hours.
The filmmaker, who has been making the case to release his longest version of the DC Comics movie for years, had previously said the run time was 214 minutes, but has now said it will be longer.
“I announced the famous run time at 214 minutes,” said Snyder Beyond the trailerIt’s Grace Randolph. “Now, in its current state, it will end up being longer than that yet … [it’s] exciting to bring all this new stuff to fans. “
The director also said he is “still working” on the cut, which will be released on the HBO Max streaming platform, although the release date has not yet been confirmed.
