YouTube has suspended the One America News Network (ONN) channel for repeated violations of the video platform’s policy on COVID-19 misinformation sharing, YouTube confirmed Tuesday. The channel has been demonetized as a result of the suspension, YouTube added.
“Since the onset of the epidemic, we have worked to prevent the spread of harmful misinformation associated with COVID-19 on YouTube. Policy, which prohibits content that guarantees guaranteed treatment, “YouTube said in a statement. “In addition, due to repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy and other channel monetization policies, we have suspended the channel from the YouTube Partner Program and, consequently, its monetization on YouTube.”
YouTube has a three-strike policy before deleting an account. ONN’s channel is still live, but the strike means it will not be able to upload new videos or start new live streams for a week. In order to monetize the videos going forward, ONA will have to re-apply to the YouTube Partner Program. The account will need to be repaired to the program to correct any issues that have been postponed.
ONN has recently become a favorite of President Donald Trump. The President has repeatedly said Promotion Promoting baseless conspiracy theories about large segments from the network Voter fraud And rigging the vote machine in the presidential election.
