Between the “ring of fire” solar eclipse, the amazing comet and a rare blue moon, this year is full of incredible celestial events. This week, you will have another reason to look up at the sky as turid meteor showers can bring fireballs, which is an astronomical term for really bright meteors.

What is Taurus?

Divided into Northern Taurus and Southern Taurus, according to Space.com, Taurus is formed by a stream of debris entering the Earth’s atmosphere through the Comet NK, according to Space.com. Taurus has larger meteors than any other in the debris stream and has a lot of power. So while they don’t have the number of meteors (aka shooting stars), percentage percentage fireballs in north and south tidid meteor showers.

When does Taurus Peak?

Taurus began to appear in the sky in late October, and they will light up the sky until November 27th. Specifically, they are at the top from 5 November to 12 November.

What is the best way to look at Taurus?

According to Arthasky, you should be able to see Taurus from late at night until early in the morning. In particular, the main time to see them is after midnight. Like most astronomical events, the best way to capture Taurus is by finding a place with a clear sky and far away from light pollution. But since the fireballs are so bright, you will be able to see them even if you cannot get away from the city lights.
