Yakuza 7 release date and new generation platforms announced

Yakuza: Like a dragon It will launch in North America this November, Sega confirmed Wednesday. The action-packed turn-based role-playing game will feature a full English dub, similar to last year’s Yakuza spin-off. Judgmentand will star in veteran actor George Takei.

Takei will give voice to Masumi Arakawa, “a powerful patriarch whose dissolution of the Tojo Clan’s yakuza empire sets the conflict at heart” Yakuza: like a dragon.

The new Yakuza will launch for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One this November. Yakuza: like a dragon It will also be available on Xbox Series X on launch day, Sega said, through Microsoft’s Smart Delivery program. A PlayStation 5 “upgrade path” is also in the works, but does not have an official release date.

Yakuza: like a dragon It plays differently than previous Yakuza games, and draws influence from Square Enix’s Dragon Quest series. Protagonist Ichiban Kasuga and her group of fellow adventurers take on job roles that define their character classes, and can turn to turn-based RPG mechanics, similar to healing spells and monster summons, in battle.

The game was released in Japan, under the name Yakuza 7: whereabouts of light and darkness, at the beginning of this year.
