Xbox Series X release date hinted at by Microsoft

During a recent earnings call, Microsoft hinted at the Xbox Series X release date, apparently confirming that the next-gen console will launch sometime in November. During the earnings call, Microsoft CFO Amy Hood was asked when the new console would arrive. In response to this, Hood allegedly said “November vacation.” At press time, Microsoft has not announced a more specific release date than “2020 vacation” for the console, but Hood appears to have accidentally let out a narrower launch window.

At this time, the earnings call is not available to the public. However, Bloomberg’s Dina Bass, the source in question, is widely considered a reliable source. Of course, Hood could have made a mistake. However, at this point, it’s safe to assume that the console will launch in November.

Not only did the previous three Xbox consoles launch in November, but we have two leaks that point to a November launch. Earlier this year, Microsoft apparently blurted out the console that would launch around Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, a new leak from the Microsoft Store suggests that the console could be released on November 14.

At the moment, everything here should be taken with a grain of salt. Not only is there nothing official here, but even if the Xbox Series X is set to launch in November, it doesn’t mean it’s going to come to this. Everything is subject to change, especially during a pandemic.

Microsoft has not commented on this apparent leak or the speculation surrounding it. And at this point, it is unlikely that it will. If I were to comment, I probably would have already.
