The Xbox app, a beta release, is designed to match the updated user interface on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S dashboards. It works in concert with the share button on the latest version of the Xbox Wireless Controller. When you capture a screenshot or clip, you’ll be able to choose which social networks you want to share it with from your phone or tablet. You can also share it in the Highlights section of your profile.
You can use the app to set up the Xbox Series X or Series S, so when downloading console updates, you can configure your settings. On top of that, you can manage your game library with the app or use it as a remote control.
The app also includes profile access, so you can see what your friends are playing and invite them to the party. There is an integrated search function that will display friends in the game title and results.
