WWE SmackDown results: Live resap, degrees as Braun Strowman confronts the Enemy, Bayley gets a challenger

With WWE’s second-largest pay-per-view of the year nine days away, the company continues to build on SummerSlam with another edition of SmackDown on Friday night. It’s top story of the blue market remains universal champion Braun Strowman’s continued feud with his past in Bray Wyatt. Now that Strowman has been through the Firefly FunHouse and cult leader version of Wyatt, will “The Enemy” stop him in his tracks and win the championship again?

The women’s division at SmackDown remains set full of headlines with Bayley’s SummerSlam challenger set to decide Friday in a three-brand battle royal. Some expect Naomi to finally get to the top due to recent fan engagement, but could this be an opportunity for Rhea Ripley to get some lost steam? And will Mandy Rose have anything to say after Sonya Deville cut out her blonde locks a few weeks ago?
