WWE confirms that The Undertaker retired

After last Sunday’s episode of “Undertaker: Last Ride,” fans were wondering if The Undertaker had retired or had left the door open for a comeback.

Taker gave the “never say never” line while also indicating that he had ended up as an in-ring performer as he has more to give the business behind the scenes. His writing left many fans thinking that he might get in the ring at least once more.

During tonight’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, the announcers said their encounter with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 was their last match. The Boneyard Match aired in its entirety on tonight’s episode of SmackDown during a special tribute episode. As part of the tribute, they also aired interviews with several of today’s top stars and Hall of Famers, including Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Shawn Michaels.

In the fight, anything is possible and Taker has privately retired several times over the years, but as of now, WWE says he has ended up as an active fighter.
