Work at home? Expand your workspace with 1 or 2 additional screens and save 20%

Add one or even two stow-and-go side monitors to your laptop.

Mobile pixels

A few months ago I shared a deal about the Duex Pro, a second screen for your laptop. Creator Mobile Pixels is back with a few new versions, and once again I have an exclusive for you: for a limited time, and although the supplies last, Cheapskate readers can save 20% on the Mobile Pixels Trio en Trio Max with promo code SCREEN20. Please note that shipping is expected to take one to two weeks.

The 12.5-inch Trio and 14-inch Max have IPS anti-glare displays running at 1080p native resolution. They are fully plug-and-play: plug them into a Type A or Type-C USB port on just about any portable (Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS) and you should be fine.

But wait, there’s more: You can get the Trios too doublescreen configurations, which means one on opposite sides of your primary display. That almost doubles the total price, but also gives you three times the workspace.

Unlike other USB-powered screens I’ve seen, these actually ride with guns on the back of your laptop screen. If you need them, slide them from behind. When you are ready, slide them back into place. Sure, they add some bulk and weight to your laptop, but less than the aforementioned Duex model. (The Trios also promised lower energy consumption.)

And they are hanging so you can angle the screens the way you want. That includes making backwards, great when you meet with customers (at a safe distance, of course). You can also remove them and turn them to portrait mode, another improvement over the Duex.

You definitely pay a premium for the portability and dustiness of the Trio monitors – we recently presented a 15.6-inch USB-C display for just $ 150, for example – but for some people it may be worth it.

Trust me when I say this: Once you’ve experienced the pleasure of a second monitor, it’s hard to go back.

Save 50% on Powerful Monster Adventurer Force 40W Portable Bluetooth Speaker

This $ 130 speaker is on sale for $ 65.

Monster

Many portable speakers are on the small side, it is better to make them portable. If you’re more into big sound than compact size, look no further: For a limited time, and although the supplies last, the Monster Adventurer Force speaker is just $ 65 with promo code L3TBG67S. Regular price: $ 130. This is by far the lowest price on record.

The amusing (or perhaps confusing?) Named Adventurer Force reminds me of the boomboxes of old, although its two large drivers are pointed outwards instead of towards the front. There’s a big old carrying handle on top.

The speaker controls almost every box. It is IPX7 rated waterproof. It is capable of running on battery (up to 40 hours at 50% volume, according to Monster). It supports not only Bluetooth 5.0 but also microSD, USB, aux and microphone inputs. (One for karaoke?)

CNET did not rate it, but it received an average 4.7-star rating from more than 60 buyers – and those ratings are legitimate, according to both Fakespot and ReviewMeta. If you are looking for great To liven up your public events, this is a, um, monster deal.
