Woman upset after being asked to wear a face mask at Trader Joe’s in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (KABC) – A woman made a tirade after being asked to cover her face at a Trader Joe’s store in North Hollywood.

A buyer recorded the incident inside the store on Friday.

The woman in the video was angry after being questioned about why she was not wearing a mask.

Los Angeles residents are required to wear face covers when they are in public stores and inside other companies to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Other buyers reacted to the video.

“I feel kind of bad because people are embarrassed and they have a medical condition, so they can’t wear a mask. On the other hand, we now know that the mask is helping to stop the spread, so we should, especially when we are in lines and places, we must be more aware, “said buyer Sigrid Matthews.

“I think you should still wear a mask just for the safety of others, especially for the elderly and children,” said shopper Jessica Govea.

ABC7 contacted Trader Joe’s for comment on the incident, but has yet to receive a response.
