Woman stabs her ex’s girlfriend, then pretends to be a good Samaritan: cops

A Connecticut orthodontist stabbed his ex-fiancee’s girlfriend in Westchester County in the neck, then claimed she was a good Samaritan when the cops showed up, according to police.

Alika Crew, 41, who works at a high-end dental office in Stamford, allegedly hid in the back of the victim’s SUV on Tuesday morning and jumped and stabbed her as she drove down Hillandale Drive in New Rochelle.

“Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old female victim with a puncture wound to the left side of her neck,” New Rochelle captain Cosmo Costa said in a press release. “Alika Crew, 41, from this city, was also on the scene, providing medical assistance to the victim and claiming to be a good Samaritan.”

“The victim informed officers that the woman providing aid was in fact her assailant and that she had been stabbed,” the statement said. “The suspect’s ex-fiancée was also determined to be the victim’s current boyfriend.”

The crew was charged with attempted murder, and New Rochelle City Court Judge Anthony Carbone ordered that he be kept on $ 250,000 bail, the Westchester District Attorney’s Office said in a statement. She was detained in the county jail, records show.

The crew have a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a dental bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, according to the Stein Dental Group’s website in Stamford, where he is listed as a staff orthodontist.

A woman answering the phone at the dental office declined to comment Wednesday.
