Employees of the St. James Gate restaurant and pub in Belmont hope to identify a recent customer who has misbehaved.
Marotta says the disturbing incident occurred on June 19, the same day they were cleared to begin serving inside with masks and required social distance.
“This lady was still hugging everyone at the bar and not wearing a mask,” said Marotta.
Misha’s coworker behind the bar asked the woman to comply.

Surveillance cameras captured what happened next, the woman leans over and appears to cough directly in front of the bartender, who steps back in surprise and disbelief.
“It was very unpleasant, on a couple of levels,” said Marotta.
Marotta told the woman to leave.
She did, but not before giving the waiters the middle finger, then knocking down a stool before heading out the door.

General manager Bobbie Martinez can’t believe the video.
“It is not good to do that, he was enforcing the guidelines and she refused to follow them,” Martinez said.
The employees have not filed a police report, they say it is not their intention that the unidentified woman be arrested or subpoenaed, only to learn that what she did is unacceptable.
“I think if you reflect on this, maybe you can see that it can be better,” Marotta said.
