A woman who said she was in a car that passed by a group of protesters in New York’s Times Square was harassed before getting into the vehicle and later threatened to kill her.
Video of the incident shows a Ford Taurus driving through a crowd of Black Lives Matter opponents, who were seen blocking a vehicle with a bicycle during rain on Thursday evening. The vehicle then stops for a moment before speeding.
“What happened last night was not a peaceful protest,” Juliet Germanotta said on Facebook Live on Friday. “A mob tried to physically attack, and in my opinion, tried to kill us. These people don’t care about justice, they don’t care about law and order. I don’t know what these people care about, but they don’t care about human beings. About life. “
An unidentified protester told WABC-TV that the driver of the vehicle tried to pass through a red light.
“If you go through a red light when there are people in the crosswalk, you are accepting the opportunity to bump into someone,” the protester said.

Germanotta, who has been arrested several times for sabotaging the Black Lives Matter Mural in front of the Trump Tower, was part of Trump supporters traveling to the counter-exhibition.
She said her group was told by police to leave the area just after 8pm, with no one coming forward to complain of injuries from the incident, WABC-TV reported.
Many speculated that the car was a target vehicle of the New York Police, which was later disputed by the NYPD. However, the license plate matched the Ford Taurus police interceptor attached to pro-police activist Hakim Gibson, Gothamist said. The publication said Facebook posts by Gibson indicate the car was purchased at auction and is equipped with a push bumper and spotlight.
“Our lives were in danger,” Germanotta said, according to the news station. “As part of another protest, more than 300 people started verbally harassing and threatening us. When the police tried to reach us on 46th Street, we got into a car and proceeded. The protesters reached 46th Street and blocked us. In, started trying to open the car, collided with the car. The driver then tried to bring us safety. “

He added, “My life was verbally threatened.” “On many occasions, people said they were going to meet me, they would hurt me, they would kill me, or my life would matter.”
On Facebook Live, Germannotta said he has received 200 death threats on social media since the incident. He added that he did not vote for Trump in 2016, but would do so in November.
