Woman claims to have found the face of Jesus on a potato: ‘It just looked at me’

You never know who will look at a potato.

A woman from Scotland claims she recently sprayed something on the skin of a potato she bought from a nearby supermarket. However, it was not a bug like a mashed potato or something – she says it was the face of Jesus.

Oh, hello Jesus.

Nikki Halkerston claims she discovered the ‘obvious’ similarity when unpacking her weekly trip to the supermarket, reports Southwest News Service (SWNS).

“Once I put the package on the kitchen counter, I saw it,” she told SWNS. ‘I looked at it and it was just clear that it was the face of Jesus. It just looked at me. ”

Halkerston added that she only paid about $ 1.50 for a potato pardoned by what she believed to be the Lord and Savior.

She took several photos of the potato, showing an area where the natural discoloration on the skin of the spud forms a pattern that, perhaps, could look like a bearded face. (Whether that face also looks like Jesus as a random rock star from the late ’70s, however, is in the eye of the beholder.)

“I’ve seen stories before about people who found Jesus in their food, but I can just never see it. This was just so obvious to him,” Halkerston continued. “I called my husband in the kitchen and he’s usually skeptical about these kinds of things. He’s never too upset about anything, but he even agrees that it looked like Jesus!”

Unfortunately for anyone hoping to get a glimpse of God’s only Son, Halkerston has some bad news.

“I have eaten it now,” she said.
