Here’s a weird thing – a woman was arrested in Ohio Apple Pulby when she refused to give her 2 high chairs for 2 kids after she left the restaurant … and she brought the encounter to life.
Shanel Malcolm While she and her family – which includes a total of 5 people – got an allegedly difficult time from the staff on Sunday evening … all because, she says, she wants 2 high chairs for her twin 1-year-olds. Sounds like a simple request, doesn’t it?
Well, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department tells TMZ … Applebee responds to deputies by saying they deny Sha Shannall a high chair because she wanted him at the booth, which restaurant restaurant Runt said could cause a fire hazard.
So, the cops say the staff told him they offered him to sit at another table that could safely accommodate 2 high chairs … but that doesn’t sound like a good move.
The sheriff’s department says they tried to calm Shannon, who they say is working recklessly and not cooperating. There is no evidence in the video she posted … in fact, she was an admirer of the cops. However, they arrested him after the Cops simply tried to solve him by giving him a court summons.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice, and was released later that evening.
One last thing about this … In his disbelief at the situation, Shanel – who is black – refers to 2020 being “real”, and in light of this his eyes are “open”. It is unclear whether she was inciting racism here …. but if so she never explicitly says so.
Now there is a growing movement to boycott Apple Pulby on the episode. We even reached out to the restaurant for more clarity … yet, no word back
