Wolf cubs with a pair of recruits 2021

Michigan basketball added a member to the 2021 class, could one or even two more in the near future?

The past few days have been busy for Michigan basketball. Initially, all the news came from 247 sports that yielded a couple of predictions to the UM for an underrated three-star in Will Tschetter. Hailing from Stewartville, MN, Will publishes an impressive resume that relies primarily on his tremendous scoring ability, averaging 34.4 points per game for his high school.

247 sports were at the forefront of predictions, but they were not the only ones. The same Webb from The Michigan Insider was hit by Rivals analysts and editors Corey Evans, Eric Bossi and Chris Balas. They all publicly revealed where they believed Will would continue his athletic and academic career at Ann Arbor. Sam announced a day later.

You can read more about it here.

However, Tschetter is not the only trendy blue, as another 2021 star is believed to be a future Wolverine. Kobe Bufkin from Grand Rapids Christian has a FutureCast for UM from Corey Evans.

The rivals have Kobe as a four-star, and he is ranked 61st nationally as well as the 17th best SG. Internally, 247 Sports ranks Bufkin as a four-star, but much lower at 134th nationally, 28th positionally and third in the state. ESPN ranks Kobe 62nd overall, 15th, ranked No. 1 in four-star status.

Over the past season, Bufkin averaged 22 points, five rebounds and four assists, while leading his team to a 20-2 record and earning the honor of being named a member of the Michigan Associated Press All-State and Grand team. Rapids Dream.

Why do you lead Michigan basketball?

It could have something to do with fame. Bufkin might not remember it, but the UM head coach is quite famous for his years as Wolverine and beyond. While Kobe may not be fully aware of Juwan’s successes on the court, his family certainly remembers it.

“My family was big on Fab Five,” explains Bufkin. “It was a good experience for my family who were more excited than me.”

Being a member of the Fabulous Five may not automatically win you the best recruits, but at least it should take you to the door, and Howard’s efforts seem to have earned him more than just an invitation to the home. Michigan basketball is a true contender; the main contender, if Evan is right about his FutureCast.

Matt’s reflections

Will Tschetter deserves more than just three stars. There is an image circulating on social media that shows two opponents preventing Tschetter from receiving the ball, and one of them has his fist in Will’s face. For him, averaging over 30 points in that type of environment is a miracle.

Eventually, he will be recognized, if he is allowed to play this year. And even as it goes up and more major shows come to call, the Wolverines were one of the first great students to really prioritize it. That may be enough to keep you trending toward UM until the day of the decision.

When it comes to Bufkin, there is very little to go on as he is not a flashy individual. In his interviews, he is quiet, reserved and shows a very relaxed poker face. It’s hard to say what he’s thinking, but apparently, Ann Arbor is on his mind.
