Wisconsin QB Jack Con enters the transfer portal


Madison, Wiz. – Wisconsin quarterback Jack Conn entered the transfer portal after an injured season in which he did not play.

Cone started 18 from 2018-19 and helped the Badgers reach the Rose Bowl in 2019, but he injured his right leg in retrospective practice and underwent surgery. Although he dressed for the final three games in Wisconsin, the 6-foot-3 senior from Seville, New York did not play a single one.

Redshirt newcomer Graham Mertz has started each of Wisconsin’s (-3–3) six games and completed 60.8% of his pass in 1,108 yards with his sixth touchdown and five interceptions. In the 20-17 overtime win over Minnesota when Shields injured Mertz, sophomore Chase Wolf came in and went 4-of-5 for 15 yards with touchdowns and interceptions.

In the Big Ten games, including -3–3 Marcus, Koa owned a 12-6 record as a starter.

He has completed 68% of his passes at 3,278 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Coen had a school-record of 236 completions while throwing 2,727 yards in 2019 with 18 touchdowns and five interruptions.
