Motley told CNN that Tracy Cole, Talevia Cole, Tayudah Cole and Tristiana Cole were taken into custody. A police spokesman confirmed to CNN late Friday night that members of the Cole family had been arrested.

Alvin’s mother, Tracy Cole, who uses cane, was taken to hospital with a large bump on her forehead and an injured hand, Motley said, “almost handcuffed.” Motley added that Tracy and Tristiana’s call was later released from the hospital.

“It’s not clear why they were arrested. At the time of their arrest, they were in their vehicle – they got out of their vehicle,” the attorney said. “Tracy – who walks with a cane, is a peaceful demonstrator – was attacked and then taken to hospital by police and suffered injuries as a result.

“His car was surrounded. Talavia Cole and Tayudah Cole were taken to two different locations in two different cities following their arrest. All have been released without charge.”

Police in riot gear storm a rally in Wisconsin on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.

A total of 24 people were arrested on Thursday, and two of them asked for medical help, Wuatosa police said in a news release on Friday.

A police spokeswoman also advised CNN Motley that Tracy Cole has received medical treatment, but her arm was not broken. Police did not have the details of the second arrest required for medical assistance.

Alvin Cole case

On Feb. 2, Alvin Cole was shot and killed outside the Vavatosa Mall when police responded to a disturbing call, police said. Vau Watosa Police Chief Barry Weber told reporters at the time that Alvin fired a gun before the officer opened fire.

Milwaukee County District Attorney John T. Chisholm wrote in a letter to the Vau Vatosa police chief that there was “sufficient evidence” to show that officer Joseph Mensah believed a lethal force was necessary and that “that belief was definitely justified.”

The plaintiff stated in his report that Alvin had a stolen 9mm pistol when he was in the mall and he displayed the pistol during an argument with another patron.

“Vavotosa confronted police officers in the parking lot of Mayfair Mall, ran away from the police, left the firearm and was ordered to hand over the weapon,” Chisholm wrote. “He did not surrender the weapon and was pronounced dead at the scene by Officer Mensah.”

Chisholm released an eight-minute compilation video of Alvin being fatally shot that night.

The video shows it looks like an officer is walking towards something and pointing a gun. Someone says “drop the gun” before the sound of a gun is heard. Alvin could not be seen in the footage at the time of the shooting. Many shooting-like sounds can be heard later.

CNN’s Sara Sidner, Mallika Kalingaling and Justin Sutton contributed to this report.
