Wisconsin Health System: Ora Rora Medical Center worker deliberately miss vaccines

Grafton, Wiz. – A Wisconsin health system official said Wednesday that the 500 doses of coronavirus vaccine that they now have to be given after being kept cold seem to have been deliberately wasted by the employee.

Ora Rora Medical Center first reported the spoiled dose on Saturday, saying it was pulled out overnight by an employee at their facility in Grafton.

In a statement late Wednesday evening, Rora said the employee involved “admitted today that they deliberately removed the vaccine from the vaccine.”

Ora Rora’s statement said they fired the employee and referred the matter to authorities for further investigation. His statement did not say anything about the possible purpose of the action, and health officials did not immediately respond to messages seeking more information.

“We believe that vaccination is our way out of the epidemic. We are more than disappointed that this person’s actions will delay more than 500 people from getting their vaccine,” the statement said.

Aurora declined to give additional details, but said they would provide more details on Thursday.
