MADISON, Wis. Wisconsin has now surpassed 1,000 confirmed coronavirus deaths, according to state and county health officials.
The big milestone comes just over six months after the Wisconsin Department of Health confirmed the first case of the coronavirus. At least 1,001 people have died from coronavirus complications.
In total, 59,965 * people tested positive for the coronavirus.
Of the 13,162 tests returned Saturday, roughly 8.9% were positive. That is almost two percentage points up around Friday afternoon when 7% of all tests returned positive.
