It was a night filled with a lot of action and drama It was a night full of action and drama.

WWE SmackDown started with Michael Cole in the ring who was interviewing NXT newcomer Matt Riddle. Riddle said that after his win over AJ Styles last week, he thought he “could get used to this.” Regarding the fight with bare feet, he said that as a child he froze in his foot and that it hurts when he wears shoes.

King Corbin interrupted the interview and kicked Cole out of ‘his ring’ before saying that Riddle disrespected him last week. Corbin said that someone needed to ‘put him in his place’ and Riddle said ‘come on, brother.’ Corbin said that was not how it worked on SmackDown before calling John Morrison to fight instead.

Matt Riddle vs. John Morrison

Corbin was commenting as the Miz joined us at ringside when the game started. Riddle and Morrison faced each other before Riddle was tossed aside, but returned with a suplex gut wrench. Morrison was caught in an ankle before hitting a big kick on the ropes for a close fall.

Morrison hit a corkscrew iron and nearly got the count three before hitting his knees in the face. Riddle was outside and hit Corbin with his flip flop before we headed to a break. We returned to SmackDown to see Morrison hitting a huge top rope followed by a Spanish fly standing for another close fall.

Riddle took the lead with a knee kick and then a power bomb before hitting the Flash Knee Kick. Miz and Corbin tried to distract Riddle, but managed to roll the veteran up for the big win on SmackDown.
