More than 500 coronavirus cases have been reported among its employees since Win Resorts reopened in June in Las Vegas on Thursday.
The company has so far conducted 15,051 COVD-19 tests on employees with the help of University Medical Center, it said in a news release. Employees need to be negatively tested before returning to work.
“Our goal is to make Win Las Vegas a safer place for our guests and employees to go out of their homes,” said Matt Maddox, CEO of Win Resorts.
As part of its outreach efforts, groups of 700 employees are tested every two weeks. A total of 8 positive8 positive cases have been reported, resulting in a 6. %% positivity rate, the company said.

Of the positive tests, 51 occurred before the resort reopened.
The company has seen a significant drop in virus positivity rates since launching its multilateral pre-employment and surveillance testing programs, Win said in a statement.
In a recent round of testing, only one in 285 employees tested positive. The company said positive 98% of employees who tested positive contracted the virus outside of work. Vinn said 10 employees are dedicated full-time to contact tracing for positive employee cases.

Since reopening in June, the resort has hosted more than 500,000 guests on The Strip, six of whom have tested positive for COVID-19, the company said.
As of Thursday, more than 100 cases of coronavirus and 1,309 deaths have been reported in Clark County, Las Vegas, according to the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.
