William Shakespeare was one of the first people to be injected with Pfizer and Bioentech’s coronavirus vaccine outside of trial in England
The UK became the first country to approve the vaccine on Wednesday last week and began administering it to vulnerable people on Tuesday morning.
The first recipient was Margaret Keenan, a 90-year-old grandmother who was given an injection at 6:31 a.m. local time at the University H Hospital Hospital in Coventry, Warwickshire.
Shortly afterwards, 1-year-old William Shakespeare became the first man to do inoculation, the BBC reported.

Shakespeare, who grew up in Warwickshire like a 16th-century bard, said he was “happy” and admired the hospital staff, just 20 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of the famous playwright and poet.
The irony was not lost on the internet, which contributed to yoga.
A popular commentary described the moment as “The Taming of the Flu” – a play titled Shakespeare’s comedy “The Taming Play f Dhru”.

Some jokes also landed in literary history.
“Indeed, I heard that the other person to be vaccinated was Christopher Marlowe, but William Shakespeare took all the credit for it,” wrote Twitter user Tirenon Doweb, adding that some of Shakespeare’s plays were written by his contemporaries.

Literary history and modern medicine also spread in a joke.
“Exit followed by Bayer,” read the comment, linking the famous stage direction of “The Winter Tale” with the German pharma giant.
The UK prepared about 40 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, administered in two separate shots.
