Will the Galaxy S21 (S30) mark the return of an important feature on flagship phones?

Samsung ate its words like it removed ads that made fun of Apple’s iPhone for not having a headphone jack after the introduction of the Galaxy Note 10 duo. These were the first flagship Galaxy phones that did not have a 3.5mm audio port. Samsung’s reason was that it would remove the headphone jack free up space to increase battery capacity. The chaebol is now apparently planning to bring the feature back.

Galaxy S21 (S30) may come with an audio port

According to a tipster, we could see this happen as soon as next year. If Samsung actually plans to do this, next year Galaxy S21 (S30) may have an audio port. Lately, Samsung has witnessed sales of its flagship, and though initial reports imply that the recently launched Galaxy Note 20 is doing well, the company is apparently cautious about placing component orders.
The leaker says the reintroduction of the headphone jack will be more of a marketing stunt to generate hype for the next flagship of the S-Series. With the Xperia 1 II Sony also brought back the headphone jack, which is missing on its flagships of 2018 and 2019. The company now thinks the port is indispensable for media consumption.
Google is another company that has the headset jack with the Pixel 5.

Analysts believe the new buttons could help the South Korean giant increase its market share from 6.9 percent to 10 percent. They outperform the AirPods Pro in price and also offer longer battery life.

If the audio port is making a comeback, it can certainly interest you with the demand for the company’s earbuds, and thus it is best to take this report for now with a pinch of salt.
