It’s been over a week since the Twitch transmitter Dr. Disrespect was discontinued, surprising the gaming community. Rumors and speculation have been around since its apparent permanent ban, but things are still unclear: this is what we know so far.
Dr. Disrespect had become the self-proclaimed ‘Twitch Face’. Played by Guy Beahm, the 80s action hero character and his film-level production made him a hit with viewers.
On June 26, reports claimed that the transmitter had been permanently banned. This has just come out of the steam that just signed a multi-year contract with the Amazon-owned company in March.

Dr Twitch’s Forbidden Disrespect
The suspension of Dr. Disrespect’s account was first reported by Twitch Partner’s ban tracking account ‘StreamerBans’ at 12:01 PM on Twitter.
Shortly thereafter, Twitch sent an official statement to outlets, including Dexerto, saying “As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a transmitter has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all transmitters regardless of status or importance in the community. “
Outside of claiming that Doc had “acted in violation” of the Community Guidelines, no explanation was given of what he had done.
However, shortly thereafter, industry insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau tweeted “Sources: DrDisrespect has been permanently banned from Twitch” before going on to clarify “Sources: not DMCA.”

Dr Disrespect responds
On the night of June 27, a day after its suspension from Twitch, the transmitter finally broke its silence with a statement on Twitter.
“Champions Club, Twitch has not notified me of the specific reason behind its decision,” he said. “A firm handshake to everyone for support during this difficult time.”

However, he did not confirm how long the ban would last, or whether it was permanent. However, if Twitch hasn’t confirmed the reason yet, they may not have revealed the length either.
Twitch community reacts to news
When reports began to emerge alleging that the Twitch transmitter ban was permanent, Beahm’s friend and close collaborator Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar reacted to the news during a live broadcast. “When he was talking to Doc, all he said was that he was talking to Twitch to find out what happened,” he said.

Streamer and former Twitch Staff member ‘ShannonZKiller’ further fueled speculation on social media, when he claimed to know why the star was banned and said it was “serious” in a now-deleted tweet. “From my own sources: Doc is already made, and not just on Twitch. I know why and I can’t say it. But this is serious,” he said.
A former Twitch staff member allegedly knew what Doc had done to get kicked out.

Twitch Refunds Dr Disrespect Subscriptions
Hours after the Twice Champion was kicked out, viewers began reporting that Twitch had reimbursed his subscriptions to his channel, in addition to removing his gestures from the platform.
Twitch has canceled subscriptions to Dr. Disrespect’s channel and is sending refunds. His gestures are no longer available.

This was a significant indicator that their ban was in fact permanent, as temporary suspensions generally do not result in refund of subscriptions.
Mrs. Assassin speaks and thanks fans
Dr. Disrespect’s wife, known as ‘Mrs Assassin’, spoke through an Instagram story in late June 26. In the statement, she thanked fans for their “love, support, strength and kindness.”
While the letter revealed nothing else, it was the first time anyone had heard anything from Doc’s camp. Mrs. Assassin has often appeared as a character during her live broadcasts.

Doc’s last broadcast
Social media went into a frenzy when the images from Doc’s latest broadcast were uploaded to YouTube and caused confusion. In the video, the transmitter suddenly falls silent and says, “I appreciate everyone who saw it today. We will go through this Champions Club. I know it is difficult, life is strange right now. We will get through it well. And uh. .. f ** k “before abruptly ending its transmission.
