Kim Kardashian probably won’t divorce Kanye West anytime soon due to optics.
“Now is not the right time for a divorce,” a source told Page Six on Wednesday. “They are smart enough to know that it doesn’t look good.
“She will demonstrate to try to support him, then a divorce can happen later.”
Divorce rumors have been circulating since West, 43, claimed he wanted to abort his daughter North West during his first campaign rally for his alleged presidential candidate in North Charleston, SC. Days later, West launched into a series of rants on Twitter, with one claiming that his 39-year-old wife tried to “lock me up.”
In another storm of tweets, West claimed that he had been trying to divorce Kardashian for two years. He also referred to Kris Jenner, his mother-in-law, as “Kris Jong-Un”.
West has since removed his tweets.
A representative for the couple did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Insiders previously told Page Six that West’s outbursts are the result of a “terrible” bipolar episode. The rapper-turned-designer first revealed his bipolar disorder in 2019 and said that when he goes through his episodes he becomes “hyper-paranoid about everything.”
“You have this moment [when] you feel like everyone wants to kill you, ”he said. “You hardly trust anyone.”
