In a recent appearance in ‘JJ Redick’s podcast’ Beverly spoke about her toughest opponent and revealed that he was Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard. “I say Dame. I give it to him ” Beverly said.
“Give me is one of the reasons I entered the weight room. I said to my boys, ‘Hey, I have to go faster laterally. I don’t feel fast. ” Lillard apparently made Beverly question her own game. “’I can’t keep up with it right now. I don’t know if I need to hire a new team from f. But I need to go faster. “
Wow, it’s usually the other way around, but we didn’t know that Lillard has maNageed to create such an impact on Pat Bev’s mindset. Also, Beverly reasoned why Lillard has grown from being called ‘Steph Light’ to become your own brand.
“He is in a system where they allow him to be exactly who he is so that they win at a high level.” Beverley said. “However, those half-court shots are, for me, that is layups and corner kicks, half-court shots for him.” The dynamics are very different when you go out preparing for such a player.
