Why did Prince George get a farewell from Mom Kate at the wedding? And ended in tears

Prince George and his sister Princess Charlotte received very important jobs at their Aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding: page and bridesmaid.

Cambridge children looked adorable in their little outfits when their mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, led them to church.

Unlike Kate’s wedding to Prince William, the celebration was a private matter, but supporters and members of the press were outside the church to see Pippa and her future husband James Matthews arrive.

While most people loved the excitement of the near-royal wedding, the big day was too much for some of the younger guests, and little George got a little upset.

The Queen’s great-grandson, generally the master of the polite smile and wave, burst into tears after the ceremony at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, in 2017.

The poor prince had already had enough when he left the church and was photographed grimacing as he guided the rest of the children scattering confetti in front of Pippa and her new husband.

As they made their way to the waiting cars to take them to the reception, Kate turned to her son and gave him a severe surprise.

It included the famous ‘that’s enough now’ finger tip, a universal hand gesture recognized by stressed mothers everywhere, and left George crying.

Naughty George!

According to the Daily Mail, he ran into trouble after Kate purposely spotted him stepping onto the train of Pippa’s white lace Giles Deacon wedding dress.

The little prince saw Charlotte doing it, so he decided to try it himself. Oh darling…

And the prince was not the only page boy who was acting, as one seemed to stick out his tongue and stick out a dubious finger gesture, just below Kate’s nose.

Oh darling…

The bridesmaids on the big day were Countess Philippa Hoyos, Lily French, Avia Horner, and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, with Casimir Tatos, Edward Sebire, William Ward, and Prince George acting as page boys.

But all is well, that ends well, as the young Prince soon seemed to forget his tantrum, and continued to smile sweetly and wave to the media as the cars drove the wedding party to the reception at the Middleton family home.

To the prince’s credit, he played his part perfectly when he arrived at the ceremony, looking angelic as he prepared to walk down the aisle.

George came back saying hello in no time

Adorably dressed in a white shirt, green pants, and long white socks, older brother George even seemed to help his sister Charlotte carry her flower arrangement.

But just before the ceremony began, the duchess was seen silencing the children, as they were too caught up in the bustle of the day.

Although this discomfort was brief and sweet, it is not the first time that it has faltered in public.

The couple was beaming when they left the church as husband and wife.

In 2015, he nearly lost his temper at his sister’s christening, before a quick chat from his father cheered him up again.

After the ceremony, the newly married couple made their way to Pippa’s parents’ house in the nearby town of Bucklebury, where the staff was waiting to deliver champagne and canapes to the happy revelers.

The evening in the tent of the Middleton family home was for adults only, with a five-course meal, drinks and dancing until the wee hours.

Charlotte also looked adorable

Guests included royalty members Kate, William, Harry, and Princess Beatrice, as well as celebrities such as Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, the groom’s brother, and tennis ace Roger Federer.

Eager not to steal the show from her younger sister, the Duchess wore a discreet but very elegant outfit from Alexander McQueen, who designed her wedding dress in 2011.

Her tailored blush dress featured a V-neck front, a small peplum at the waist, and buttoned button sleeves. She complemented with a hat with matching rose details, her suede Gianvito Rossi shoes in praline.

Pippa and James welcomed a little boy, Arthur Michael William Matthews, in 2018, a cousin of George, Charlotte, and Louis and a new nephew of Kate and Wills.
