With the premiere of season 11 of Married at first sight, viewers were introduced to five new New Orleans couples ready to risk love. One couple, in particular, Bennet Kirschner and Amelia Fatsi, share a mysterious story that fans are eager to learn more about. This is what we know about Bennett so far.
‘Married at first sight’ is not your typical dating show
Unlike typical dating series, Lifetime’s Married at first sight presents singles willing to their partners on their wedding day. Couples actually start their relationship after saying, “Yes, I do.” And they must become known as husband and wife.
But the program does not match couples in any way. A panel of experts, including a marriage counselor, pastor, sociologist, and psychotherapist, reviews dozens of profiles of singles ready to get married. Then, based on compatibility factors like age, appearance, values, and location, experts find the right matches. Singles meet their perfect person on their wedding day, and must decide if they want to get married while standing at the altar.

Who is Bennett Kirschner in Married at first sight?
Bennett is a 28-year-old New Jersey native living in New Orleans. In Married at first sightHe reveals that he has several different jobs and is now looking to establish himself with the right person.
“I am a theater artist, a freelance writer, a small taxi driver and an assistant landscape architect,” says Bennett on the show. “I grew up in a home that really encouraged creative expression. And he was always personifying inanimate objects. I talked to everything from stuffed animals, which is quite normal, to the dumpster, who was called the president. ”
“I would describe myself as a weirdo,” he adds. “I think I am especially prepared to get married at first sight because I am someone who is deeply committed, passionate about the people I am close to. What I want is to find love with someone that I get and that receives me. For the right person, I would consider myself a good catch. “
Bennett does not have public social media accounts
As of now, it doesn’t appear that Bennett has a public Instagram or Twitter account. However, he does have a personal website and a Reedsy page. Both websites feature biographies of Bennett, including links to his past work.
“As a theater creator, he directs ensemble-generated plays and is the founding art director of Intramural Theater, a New Orleans-based theater collective that has been producing original and site-specific plays since 2015. He received his MFA in University Playwriting of New Orleans in 2019, “reads Bennett’s website.” As a music creator, Bennett uses his voice to write songs that occasionally become full songs by people with music training. TV Pole Shine, a 12-piece pop-funk team, started playing music in New Orleans in 2016 and will release a full-length studio album, Screwing a light bulb, in early 2021. “
In Married at first sightBennett agrees with New Orleans physician Amelia Fatsi. The two seem to know each other, but have not yet revealed how. New episodes of the series air on Wednesdays on Lifetime.
