Who is choosing Hooker to annoy Poirier?

(Editor’s Note: Additional fights on the main card ended too late for our staff select function.)

The UFC is back with another event on its territory.

UFC on ESPN 12 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card is broadcast on ESPN and broadcast on ESPN +.

In the main event, former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier (25-6 MMA, 17-5 UFC) faces Dan Hooker (20-8 MMA, 10-4 UFC). Poirier is a 2-1 favorite on his return after losing a title unification fight to champion Khabib Nurmagomedov last September, and he has a huge lead from our 14 editors, writers, cameramen and radio hosts. They’re on his side in a 10-4 clip.

In the co-main event, Mickey Gall (6-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) faces 3-1 favorite Mike Perry (13-6 MMA, 6-6 UFC) at welterweight. Perry has a solid advantage in the selections with 9-5.

Also on the main card, Brendan Allen (14-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) is a huge favorite against undefeated promotional newcomer Kyle Daukaus (9-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), and is the heaviest favorite among our collectors at 12-2.

And Gian Villante (17-11 MMA, 7-8 UFC) goes up to heavyweight to face Maurice Greene (8-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC). Greene is more than a 2-1 favorite, but he only has a slight 8-6 advantage in the national teams, with almost half of our staff members taking Villante upset.

In MMA reader consensus elections Junkie, Poirier (75 percent), Perry (57 percent), Allen (77 percent), and Greene (66 percent) are the options.
