According to the Chicago Tribune, Kopech filed for divorce on June 19. They are both expecting a baby in February 2021.
Morgan posted scenes from a gender reveal party she held last weekend on Instagram, and Kopech was not included in any of the photos.
Kopech, who the White Sox acquired from Boston in the successful exchange Chris Sale, appeared in just four games last season after recovering from Tommy John surgery, posting a 5.02 ERA.
Still, Kopech was expected to carve out a consistent role within the Chicago rotation before opting for the 2020 season for personal reasons.
