Where you can prove your worth by picking up Mjolnir as Thor

If you bought the Season 4 field pass here in ‘Fortnite’, you have unlocked Thor. He’s our starting skin this time, leading the superheroes and villains hammer in hand, like he did when he’s been the main character in those leadup comics all week. Or not quite a hammer in hand: he lost his hammer, Mjolnir, on the island, and now he has to take it as part of his waking challenges. There are a few here, so let’s take a look

The hammer actually fell to the card just at the end of last season as a sort of plague, but there was nothing to do with it at that point: Thor was not in the game yet, and Captain America seemed like it this time not on. It’s just southwest of Salty Springs, in a crater you can now see on the map:

All you have to do is make sure you have equipped the Thor skin and then go to the center of that crater: interact with him and he picks up the legendary hammer, although he also stays on the ground, because this is Fortnite and everything is a little wonky. It is a harvesting tool, and a fairly smooth one, on it, with a large bump motion and a nice little sound effect when it hits a weak spot. It is also the only one-handed harvesting tool that comes to mind, although I may forget one.

And that’s it: there are a few more stages to this challenge, so I’ll find that Bifrost Runes and the emote spot in just a moment. In the meantime, try to go ahead and beat some people with that hammer, both because it’s a later challenge and because it’s fun to beat people with that hammer.
