Where to pop 5 fireworks around the slow lake

There’s a new semi-secret challenge live on Fortnite to help celebrate July 4th.

With Captain America arriving at the Item Shop tonight, Epic Games has added a Captain America-themed challenge to the game along with the normal Week 3 and Aquaman challenges.

Oddly enough, this challenge is missing from weekly challenges or a special Captain America challenge. It is simply part of the quick challenges that are usually basic things like looking for ammo boxes or harvesting wood.

The challenge forces players to launch five fireworks around Lazy Lake. These fireworks exploded in the air with the symbol of Captain America. It is a nice touch.

Once you have activated all 5, you will get 14,000 XP and feel a little more patriotic than before (or not, if you are not American or, even if you are), you don’t feel very good about the state of NATION).

I will not immerse myself in politics even though July 4th is inherently political. Instead, I will enjoy the challenge because I love Captain America.

Here is the location of each of the six fireworks you can find around Lazy Lake:

A word of warning: once you’ve lit a firework, it goes on for the rest of the match. This means that if someone reaches these first, they may not find them. If it appears in one of these six locations and you don’t see one there, that could be why. This is what Fireworks look like when you find them:

I stumbled across one of these completely by mistake this morning. All of them appear to be in the hills, some farther than others from the named location.

I also noticed a strange error this morning. I played a Squads match with my kids (we also got a real win) and my daughter didn’t see any of the challenges from Week 3. Her game was updated, but she needed to reboot for them to appear, which she hadn’t seen before.

In any case, happy 4th of July! It has been a difficult year and there are dark times ahead, but I still hope that in some way we can work together to overcome these serious national struggles. And hey, at least we can all play a little Fortnite In peace and harmony.
