Where to pick up stone in the quick break

Another week, another set of challenges here at Fortnite: Battle Royale, as we steadily progress through the third season of Chapter 2. The map is gradually returning to normal after its flood at the start of the season, and we are now working with something that is much less Waterworld and much more like it. We were looking at this time last season. But for now, the challenges: Let’s take a look at where to find Rapid’s Rest to collect some stones.

Rapid’s Rest is a small place in the southeast corner of the map. It appears to be a kind of whitewater rafting accommodation area, in a place where the river gets a little faster and will actually take your items if you don’t hook them fast enough. This is where you go:

It’s kind of a little curve triangulated by Lazy Lake, Retail Row and Catty Corner. There’s not much else down there, and it would be easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. You can also see them on the challenge map in the battle pass menu.

Once you’re there, it’s actually a bit tricky. You will have to harvest most of the large rocks in the river to get up to 300 stones, and at this early point it is quite a hot place. I was able to do it in a game because I’m pretty sure the character that shot me was a bot, but this is a small milestone, so it could be played pretty quickly. This could be one of the challenges it’s best to do the day after they fall for a slightly calmer experience. It is always annoying to have to fall again.

If you get shot, come back in another game and do it. This isn’t too far from Catty Corner, so maybe once you’re done with this, you can head down to see if you can pick up some Balls of Yarn. That will also be a warm place, so be sure to grab some weapons before doing so.
