However, it seems that the PlayStation 5 is winning the battle when it comes to people’s opinions. Now, of course, Xbox fans have rooted for the Series X as much as they have from the very beginning and for good reason. But, in general, we have to admit that PlayStation 5 has the front end when we consider popular choices.

Since we have already seen the games to be expected for each of the consoles, the debate has come down to the comparison between the titles. This has only made things worse for Xbox since Halo: Infinite, the game that tops the list of upcoming games for the console, came across as a big disappointment for a large portion of the fans.

Did Halo: Infinite make things worse for Xbox during the console war?

The main problem fans had with the upcoming Halo title is its graphics. With all the hype regarding next-gen in terms of appearance and gameplay, Halo managed to disappoint our big time. Some have even compared it to the graphics of Halo: Reach and concluded that Reach has better graphics. Well, 343 Industries had said this before that they have listened to the reviews and will work on the visuals to make it better. Today the official Twitter tweeted for the franchise that the devs have postponed their release to next year.

This is a good decision instead of improvements prior to the game’s release. But seems the damage has already been done. People who make a comparison between the consoles by comparing the exclusive titles are likely to lean towards PS5. Xbox has a pretty exciting lineup with a roster of interesting indie titles. But on the other hand, the title that the PS5 exclusive will copy is the much anticipated and rightfully hyped Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Not to mention that it was a PlayStation exclusive that has earned a huge popularity and has become a serious candidate for the title of Game of the Year. The Last of Us Part 2 took everyone by fear when it came to becoming a bestseller.

We can not make any assumption about which console will appear as the better one by comparing the titles. Moreover, many games had to delay the development due to the current pandemic situation. However, we feel that the Halo crash might have been reflected in Xbox sales.
