Sonora, CA – When will Tuolumne County be added to the state’s COVID-19 Surge Surveillance List? Local officials are still not sure.
County public health reports on Wednesday confirmed only one case. They did the same thing Tuesday, and the reduction in cases has reduced the county’s 14-day case rate to 99.33 / 100k, or 99 new cases per 100,000 residents in a 14-day period. This metric is just below the 100 / 100k mark for the state county watch list.
Public health officials point out that there appear to be some delays in reporting results from the labs at CalREDIE, the state-wide reporting system, and that there are some delays with reporting of county case numbers within the state site. .
For those reasons, officials don’t know when the state will add Tuolumne to the watch list, but will provide updates when they receive more information.
