The mute function of WhatsApp has been a blessing for many people who want to reveal their notifications. However, the maximum period for silencing these chats was one year.
So, if you were part of a pesky group of relatives you can’t really leave, you would have to perform a mute ceremony once a year. Now, the option to mute chat has always been rolled out. That’s right.

The company has replaced the 1-year mute option with it As always, And that’s a smart thing to do. If you’ve been muting chat for a year, chances are you’ll mute it by the end of the time.

If you don’t know how to mute chat, here’s a quick guide:
- Open the WhatsApp app on your phone.
- Go to the chat you want to mute and tap on the group or contact name.
- Tap on Silence Option and select Always (Or other options).
