What’s Hot in Ohio State Football: Terrell Pryor-Queen Years Comparison, 30 Years of Defeating Indiana, Missing Buffalo Game

Columbus, Ohio – What is Ohio State Football? Five things in my mind as the bookies prepare to host Indiana on Saturday afternoon. Here is the latest OSU Football Hot List.

1. Second No. 1 QB Recruitment Landing

In a packed high school gym 12/2 years ago, Terrell Prior announced no decision. On Twitter on Thursday night, Queen Evers announced a major decision.

If things go according to the bookies ’plan, there will be 13 recruitment classes among their No. 1 quarterbacks in the country. According to 247Sports.com, Prior was the No. 1 QB and No. 2 overall player in the 2008 class. He then faltered on National Sign Innings Day as he had been an unlucky player in February, if his leaning towards the Buccaneers was delayed by Parteno and Penn State. He called a news conference, then decided he would continue to consider Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Oregon, everyone thought he would eventually become a buccaneer, and by March he was.

The next No. 1 QB for the bookies, if Ohio State catches it in the next 13 months, will be Evers, the top quarterback in the 2022 class and the No. 2 player. He made a commitment with Texas and then de-committed in late October, and then on Thursday, he tweeted that bookies are his new choice.

Out of State No. 1 Quarterbacks for a 14-year non-program, which is in such a separate place with Quarterbacks.

(Two fast assistants. One, Prior had an overall rating of .9997 by 247 Sports. Evers is at .9994. It makes two of the highest rated OSU players in any position in the modern recruitment era. Class 2004, from receiver Ted Ginn Jr. Is in third place at 9992.

Two, Braxton Miller was recruiting the No. 2 QB in the country when he joined Ohio State’s 2011 class, if you think about what else happened to OSU QB between 2009 and 2021.)

At the time, Prayer felt the need to meet for a program trying to do something different. Troy Smith, who led the Buckeyes to the National Championship Game, won the Heisman Trophy in 2006, which is almost all you can ask a quarterback to do. But Smith was an under-the-radar recruit who thrived in Michigan Dominance and Program Changer. Going after Prior was the next level.

It felt like a lunar landing in the fall of 2007 when Jim Tressel and several assistants headed to the bookies facing Penn State on Saturday night at a Pryor High School game. This was a Western Pennsylvania push for the bookies, who had a special relationship with the player they would close in on that treason offense.

In pre-Prior classes, Ohio State did not recruit any quarterbacks in 2007; 2006 QB was a Georgian three star named Antonio Henton; And 2005 QB Rob Schoenhoft, a four-star Ohio recruiter.

Prior was the person. Now, Evers is the next person.

Justin Fields, the No. 2 quarterback recruiter in 2018, selected Georgia before moving to Ohio State in 2019 and 2020. 2021 QB War 2020 Recruitment C.J. Will be held between Stroud and Jack Miller, between No. 3 and No. 3. That in that category 27 quarterbacks; And 5th quarterback Kyle McCord in 2021.

Recruiting a five-star quarterback from Texas is no easy task. But what Dwayne Heskins and especially Fields have shown can be done in this Ohio State passing game founded by Ryan Day, it looks like the quarterbacks are coming to the batches, the batches had to chase the quarterbacks.

With Pryor, there was talent nowhere else in the Buccaneers and landing in the top quarterback tide felt like the final part. With Evers, it’s like landing on some select quarterback, as one of them will want to be a bookie, that’s the first part he’s supposed to be, and everything else flows from there.

We’ve come a long way since we were in the gym at Evers High School and had the opportunity to sign the final piece of paper in December 2021 that this officer would make. So we can’t get ahead of ourselves. But at the moment, it looks like a big thing has changed for the Ohio State quarterback for the 2008 and 2022 recruits.

That sounds difficult. Now that seems almost easy.

2. Won on twenty-five straight hookers

This is a reminder that the 2010 NCAA sanctions against Ohio State tamper with the OSU record book. You’ll see a reference to Ohio State Public Relations, a 24 straight win over Indiana in Saturday’s game. He’s actually 25.

Indiana’s last non-defeat against Ohio State was a tie in 1990. The last IU wins in 1987 and 1988 came in the back-to-back seasons. Teams now play East Division enemies each season, but that wasn’t always the case, so they didn’t meet in 1999, 2000, 2007 and 2008.

How is the Bookies’ 25-game win against the other big ten teams? It is the longest. Here’s the length of the other 12 Big Ten winning series for the bookies, while the bookies lost last time. Nothing is half as long as the length above the hosiery.

11 Minnesota (2000)

9 Illinois (2007)

8 Wisconsin (2010)

8 Michigan (2011)

8 Northwest (2004)

7 Rutgers (never)

6 Maryland (never)

6 Nebraska (2011)

4 Michigan State (2015)

4 Penn State (2016)

0 Purdu (Boilermakers won the last matchup in 2018)

0 Iowa (Hockey last won in 2017)

3. Running Game Piece Holding Back

Teach trays in ten running backs, carrying at least eight per game 78.7878 Yard averages ninth, and Master Tig 49.4949 The yard ranks 12th on average. Remember, it’s against Nebraska, Penn State and the Rutgers Rush Hush defense, none of which is particularly loose.

A year ago, JK Dobbins went average Held at 6.65 Yards per carry. In 2017, Dobbins went average 7.23 Yards. In 2016, Curtis Samuel averaged 7.95 And Mike Weber averaged 6.02. In 2015 and 2014, Ezekiel Elliott averaged 6.30 And 6.88.

Weber’s average even in the down rushing year of 2018 Is 5.55 And Dobbins Held at 4.58.

So it’s not great yet. But OSU is missing a part in the run game. Bukeiz said they wanted to limit the number of areas carrying, but I felt they couldn’t help themselves. In Week 1, they couldn’t, as the fields carried 15 times for 54 yards. But with the last two weeks, he has 12 carrying for three yards, and four sacks.

His running was horrible. It will be there whenever the bookies really need it. Maybe it’s Saturday against Indiana. Maybe he’s in the Big Ten championship game. Maybe it’s in college football play. But it’s there and wait, and that results in an OSU run game evaluation. Because there is no doubt who is the best runner on the roster.

Those are the fields.

“I think it’s pretty good,” Ryan Day said this week. “I think he’s strong, he’s powerful, his movement in the pocket has been good. In the game of Rutgers, you see Rusher get there two or three times and he misses the guy, but he doesn’t panic. He kept his eyes downfield. That part has really improved.

“In his flat out running skills, he’s big, he’s strong, he’s fast and he can run. I think he’s a very good runner.”

The defensive end of the Ohio State Football.L will work in practice before the 2020 season of Zach Harrison.

Zac Harrison this season hi. Ohio State is on the defensive end with 1.5

Will defensive tackle Tommy Togii really lead the Buckeyes in the Bucks? In the Penn State game, he has three in the season. There are a total of three of the five defensive ends of the regular rotation – 1.5 By Zach Harrison, 1 by Jeanne Jean-Baptiste, and 0.5 by Jonathan Cooper.

So Harrison is moving on average 0.5 Bags per game. For the latest sack leaders on the defensive end, Chase Young averages 1.4 Sack per game last season; Young average 0.68 In 2018; Nick Bosa averages 0.61 In 2017; Tych an Lewis average 0.62 In both 2016 and 2015; And Joy Bosa averaged 0.9 In 2014.

5. The buffalo is missing

All were disappointed with the loss of the Ohio State-Oregon non-conference game. The Bookies will tour Eugene for the first time since 1967, which will feature a top-10 matchup. That game was lost early, once the Big Ten had just planned a conference.

But the other two games were also lost. One was the opener against Bowling Green, currently 0-3. The second match was Week Week game against Buffalo, which is currently -0-0 and ranked 10th in the country in scoring, averaging 44.3 points per game, and 25th in the country in yards, averaging 462.

Buffalo’s run game has been disastrous, as Jarrett Patterson ran for 301 yards and four touchdowns in Tuesday’s 42-17 win over Bling Ling Green. Patterson averages .2.5 yards per carry, while fellow back Kevin Marks Jr. averages y77 yards per carry and .2.5 yards per carry.

There’s a lingering question as to when a team can take down the bookies, and I’m not saying Buffalo would be that team. But Lance Leopold is a coach who won six Division III national titles at Wisconsin-Whitewater and has been building something at Buffalo for the past six years. If it’s a big job available like Michigan or Penn State, it’s the darkest of dark horses, but it’s a program builder with a plan. Keep an eye on it.

Given the opportunity, the Bulls could be one of the few Mac teams to show up at Ohio Stadium this season with at least one goal and give the Bookies a quarter or two fight. Here, by the way, is the podcast I did with Leopold this spring.
