County Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer arrived at Eyewitness News via Skype to answer viewers’ questions.
Ferrer spoke about where the province still needs to work to get the COVID-19 waiting list from the state.
And although the region has come a long way since the start of the pandemic in March, she said there is still a lot to learn about the effects of the virus, adding that changing science has posed challenges.
“I wish it was not a new virus. I wish we knew everything we want to know and need to know to make really good policy decisions and that those decisions are consistent, but we will have to constantly ask, of all of us, the opportunity to to be flexible because we get more evidence, ”Ferrer said.
