What we learned on day 4 of the Seattle Seahawks training camp

For the last time before padded practices begin on Monday, the Seattle Seahawks had a light on-field practice Sunday in helmets and shells. Although information is more limited this year, there are still bits and pieces that will help form ideas to form the team for the 2020 season. Here’s what we learned on Sunday, including a brief Marquise Blair media session prior to practice.

Blair told reporters that his reps at nickel to start camp are the first he has ever taken on the position.

Despite that, Blair expressed confidence about his ability to play in the slot.

Quinton Dunbar took up the field for the first time as a member of the Seahawks.

After missing the first days of on-field work due to a personal issue, Chris Carson was back in Seattle on Sunday and with the team.

The Seahawks’ two starting approaches, Jarran Reed en Poona Ford, sat out on Sunday. Both left injured Friday, with Reed out of practice because of it and Ford ending the day.

Unsurprisingly, Dunbar got special attention from Pete Carroll as the team tries to get their new cornerback on the speed.

KJ Wright, who sat out on Friday, was back on Sunday and ran again with the defense of the first team.

In 7-on-7s, however, it was up again Jordyn Brooks get snaps with the first unit.

With Duane Brown getting some rest, it was Cedric Ogbuehi in the left approach with the starters.

David Moore also sat on Sunday for unknown reasons.

In MooreThe place was different Cody Thompson, who also earned positive reviews during the brief fieldwork last week.

Seattle also hired a free agent on Sunday, bringing him defensive approach PJ Johnson for a visit. With Reed and Ford carrying injuries, an addition to the position would be logical. Cedrick Lattimore, Bryan Mone, and Demarcus Christmas are the other defensive tackles currently on the roster.
