What to know from the Packers’ first injury report of Week 16

The Green Bay Packers released the first injury report of Week 16 on Wednesday afternoon.

The list is 20 players long and includes five players who were unable to participate during Wednesday’s practice.

What else to learn from the injury report, as the Packers prepare for the Tennessee Titans:

– Jamal did not practice on Wednesday by running back Williams, possibly risking missing him on Sunday. He injured his quad against the Carolina Panthers.

– Running back Aaron Jones has a new leg injury, but he also took part in limited fashion on Wednesday.

– Center Corey Linsley is practicing, but he is not listed on the injury report as he is still on the injured reserve. Packers will not have to make his list until he is active on the 53-man roster.

– Outside linebacker Z’Darius Smith is still dealing with a foot injury, and has now been added to his toe and neck injuries. On Wednesday it was limited in practice.

– Line Kar Chris Barnes, who left the Packers’ win over the Panthers after 31 provocative pics due to an eye injury, is considered a full participant on Wednesday. He should be fine for Sunday.

– Receiver Alan Lazard is dealing with a new wrist injury but it was limited.

– Versatile defensive back Will Redmond has a fuss and has not practiced on Wednesday.

– Three players were listed with illnesses: long snapper Hunter Bradley, defensive lineman Anthony Rush and tight end Jess Sternberger. This is worth monitoring, but the Packers did not add anyone to the COVID-19 reserve list on Wednesday.

– Sternberger is still in conjunction protocol.

– Rookie guard Simon Stepnayak was a full participant. The sixth-round pick could be closer to his NFL entry.

– P tight end Mercedes Lewis did not practice on Wednesday, but the Packers today is considered a normal Thursday, while Lewis usually gets a day off.

– The Titans were without cornbuck Adori Jackson and defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons in Wednesday’s practice.
