The Boston Bruins-Carolina Hurricanes had to begin Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
But the Stanley Cup Playoffs are unpredictable – especially in a bubble town with each conference getting its own ice rink.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets also began their search for the Cup on Tuesday night, but their game caused a delay for Boston’s due to going into the square (!!!!) overtime.
There is no set time of 8:35 a.m. ET when the B’s and Canes will take the ice, but Chris Johnston of SportsNet provided a rough time frame.
We will officially introduce a delay situation for tonight’s BOS-CAR game when we get above 6:42 pm ET.
The NHL requires an 87.5-minute turnaround between games. And double overtime just starts here at Scotiabank Arena.

That essentially, fans will have to wait about an hour and a half before puck drops.
The year 2020 remains the earliest.
