Pharmacies across the country and New York City, including 11 on the West Side at Nation, began administering the Covid-19 vaccine on Friday, as a result of a bidon administration program that sends the vaccine directly to them. State eligibility guidelines apply.
“In New York City, that means an initial shipment of 26,000 doses, of which 500 each go to 250 Duane Reeds, Vg Grains, Reet Aids and Costcos.” The dose is out of allocation that has gone out. In the states – many local officials have said they have not yet met their demands. “
But, the CDC warned, “While the program will eventually expand … it is important to know that, while the supply of vaccines is still limited, many pharmacies may not have vaccines or may have very limited supplies.”
With that in mind, a list of the 11 UWS pharmacies reported by Patch here are currently participating in the program.
