West Ham 3-2 Chelsea, Player Classification: Pulisic Show, ep. 4, undone

The team may be prone to falling apart at inopportune moments, but Captain America continues to do its best to lead Chelsea to victories. There are now four (4!) Man of the Match Community Prizes in a row, the most for any player this season. (Tammy Abraham and Reece James won three in a row before. The last player to win four in a row was, unsurprisingly, Eden Hazard, at the beginning of last season.)

Pulisic failed to make it to the scoreboard, missing his big shot with an inaccurate kinky shot, but it was the consistent spearhead for the team that lacked creativity, pace, and momentum for large portions of the game otherwise.

Despite all the praise on his way, Pulisic’s form is sure to change. Until then, keep hitting while the iron is hot.

Don’t look now, but Willian has double-digit goals for the fourth time in the past five seasons. He climbs to number 27 on Chelsea’s all-time scoring list (62), ahead of Salomon Kalou (60), Nicolas Anelka (59) and Diego Costa (59). If this is your last month at Chelsea, you’re ending it on a good note.

If in doubt, vote for N’Golo.
