Wemo’s new WiFi Smart Plug is smaller, cheaper and available now

Wemo’s new miniaturized WiFi Smart Plug, which the company announced at CES earlier this year, is now available to purchase.

The new Wemo WiFi Smart Plug is functionally the same as the previous model, but it is 45 percent smaller than the previous Wemo Mini (and now with a somewhat inaccurate name) that preceded it. Like the latest version, it is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and the Wemo app for its various smart home integrations.

The new plug is actually a fraction of an inch taller than the Wemo Mini, but it makes up for it by being much less width than the previous model. The WiFi Smart Plug now takes up just a little more space than a three-prong plug, which should make it easier to discreetly install in your home.

It’s also getting a slight price drop: It will retail for $ 24.99 for a single plug, compared to the $ 29.99 price the Wemo Mini sold at retail. A three-pack for $ 49.99 is also available.
