‘Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s’ star accused in murder plot to murder cousin


A star of the OWN series “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” has been charged by federal authorities in an alleged murder-for-hair plot against his 18-year-old cousin.

James Timothy Norman (41), who appeared on the reality series about the restaurant in family business, was accused of conspiracy to use international trade facilities in the commission of a murder-for-rent plot with an exotic dancer named Terica Ellis, according to a federal complaint summarized in a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Missouri.

Norman’s cousin Andre Montgomery was shot and killed on March 14, 2016. According to the release, Norman is accused of getting a $ 450,000 life insurance policy on his cousin, who listed him as the sole beneficiary. After that was done, Norman and the exotic dancer apparently traveled separately to St. Louis. Louis, Mo. Montgomery was then in St. Louis.

On March 14, Norman and Ellis activated temporary phones that they communicated with each other throughout the day. Ellis also used the phone to communicate with Montgomery to get his location in the city. Later that day, Montgomery was shot and killed.

“Ellis’ phone location information placed her near the murder scene at the time of the murder. Immediately after the Montgomery murder, Ellis placed a call to Norman, and then began traveling to Memphis, Tennessee,” he states. the release.

In the days following the assassination of Montgomery, Norman deposited $ 9,000 in cash into several bank accounts to which Ellis had access. People reported that the dancer had a negative balance on her account before March 14th.

One week after the death of his cousin, Norman tried to collect on the life insurance policy, but could not produce the necessary documents. He made several attempts but could not get the money yet.

Ellis was also accused of conspiracy to use international trade facilities in the murder-for-rent commission, resulting in death.
