Lexington, Q. (Lex18) – An armed suspect was arrested Thursday at Chandler Hospital University in Kentucky, prompting a strong response from local and federal law enforcement officials.
UK police chief Joe Monroe said the department had been instructed by another agency that Brian Carroll, 44, of Versailles, had been rushed to hospital to visit a family member and could be “armed and dangerous”.
Monroe said police found Carroll as he was leaving the hospital and immediately took him into custody.
Weapons and body armor were found in the suspect’s possession, and possible explosives were found in his vehicle, Monroe said.
