We finally know why Diggs was crazy… Kinda?
I said a few weeks ago that I was tasked with covering former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stephen Diggs, things weren’t going his way until he got out of Buffalo. Well, keeping in mind Diggs is leading the NFL in achieving yardage, which may not have been my best decision.
However, since Diggs talked about his 2020 mindset and what he learned from his time in Minnesota and how it now applies to his mindset, I’m back to him.
So, I put my thinking on the cap to see if I could figure it out, to bring down the stability and field accuracy of the Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins in the franchise and give Diggs his first 1k. Season (S) and helped him become the NFL’s best deep end threat.
Diggs said this week:
“As far as my maturation process is concerned, I think I’ve learned a lot from my previous situation that I carried that kind of effort rather than trying to turn on a new leaf …”
OK.
“(
… (I have tried) to handle things a lot differently than before. I’ve played with a lot of quarterbacks. I’ve played on a team for a long time and adjust to it, and kind of apply what I’ve learned in my past situations to the present.
Hmmm
It is as vague as it is confusing. Is he taking responsibility for his actions on social media during his tenure here? Or is he saying he came from a Minnesota / bad place, and thus learned how to handle success?
Diggs elaborated on his commitment to new quarterback Josh Allen, saying:
“I always try to take the blame because I don’t think anyone can do it wrong. For me I always try to be for her, ‘Diggs said. “Apply the old things I learned in my new situation to make me a better person and a better player.”
OK.
It looks like he has taken on some responsibility but it is difficult to see why he is not so loyal to his cousin. Yes, the Cousins had a rough first quarter last season, but he delivered more than 100 balls to the Diggs in 2018 and the Defgs to the NFL in 2019. In it helped to become the best threat deep threat after a rough start.
Some bill writers are leaning back to explain the diva / treacherous label that Diggs created HIMSELF by saying this kind of stuff:
“Can you ever ask for more from a player? Production, responsibility and a great companion. Every day that trade feels better for Bill as the season progresses. “
I’ll tell those boys right now… they’re digs now. You’ll be singing a different tune when he’s not happy and you start typing “digs digs” on social media.
Either way, I’m happy or at least indifferent that Bill’s fans are happy because we’ve improved the situation by landing Justin Jefferson here in Minnesota. He hasn’t got tools digs, hasn’t lost time yet, and hasn’t had some weird contests with Adam Thilen.
So, I guess I don’t care why Dougs was crazy because it’s now Buffalo’s inevitable problem.
