‘We Are the Cool New Startup’ says Bitcoin Cash Node

With the Bitcoin Cash community redistributed, supporters of alternative implementation ‘Bitcoin Cash Node’ now believe they have a majority of miners behind them.

Supporters of Bitcoin Cash Node or BCHN have rejected the latest upgrade of Bitcoin ABC, which requires miners from November 8 to donate 8% of all new coins to a development fund. One Redditor accused Bitcoin ABC lead developer Amaury Sechet of “choosing to create his own (forked) currency that pays one address 8% of currency funds.”

However, Sechet told Cointelegraph that he believes BCHN does not have the resources needed to keep its own chain independent of Bitcoin ABC, and he predicts that BCHN risks being removed from existence soon if it is released in November. try a fork.

Cointelegraph spoke with NilacTheGrim, a BCHN supporter who called for his dismissal of Sechet, to learn more about BCHN’s vision for Bitcoin Cash.

Nilac told Cointelegraph that the ideal outcome to BCH’s dispute would be “the whole ecosystem stems from this change in the currency base reward, and where Bitcoin ABC has lost all its relevance to the market for trying to do what it did has got.”

Nilac claims that BCHN has the support of major Chinese mining pools, and doubts that BCH will fork out in November:

“Our code is faster. We have a much faster mining API. Miners installed all our software for this latest controversy. They love our node because it has less latency for mining calls, which reduces block risk when mining. ”

On the issue of funding for developers, Nilac said BCHN “is already well funded.”

“The ecosystem has funded us with more than $ 700,000 and that is only after 6 months of existence. Some of our employees are also self-funded. We have enough funds, ”he said.

On Reddit, supporters claim that up to 60% of miners are behind them.

Amaury Sechet: BCHN destined to fail

Speaking to Cointelegraph, Sechet of Bitcoin ABC denied the chances of surviving independently.

“Bootstrapping from scratch is a very hard task,” Sechet said.

“Calvin Ayre spent many millions on BSV and it can hardly compete with Bitcoin Cash, even with all its problems. BCHN will find itself in a similar position, but without the kind of resources Calvin Ayre has – this will be a very tough place to be in. “

Sechet expects BCHN to face “maintenance issues” due to a lack of funds, stating: “Right now, they are simply relying on our team for most of the maintenance work, but that capacity will decrease as they go their own way.”

Sechet also predicted that the “constant fighting that has been a Bitcoin Cash since its inception” will also plague BCHN “, claiming that the project does not have a roadmap and therefore no clear vision for the future.

Despite the challenges ahead, Nilac claims that BCHN “has attracted the clearest senses in the development of Bitcoin Cash.”

“We are the cool new startup that everyone wants to work on,” he concluded.
